It was late in the day, later. Sepia imbued to the tooth -- if you discount the Smilodon's hunger. The Smilodon's hunger was (basically) red (though it of course faded to a fierce orange-orange as you moved towards the outer edges).
The Large and Curious Bird was mildly furious. Furious because it had missed the majority of what was sure to become a memorable and oft-cited pursuit; mildly because it was cripplingly despondent. Weightless like other Birds, that tried.
The Gross Horse Formation was hideous.
"I orient my awareness immediately skyward," bewailed The Gross Horse Formation, "and it is The Large and Curious Bird. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck."
